Qualified. Experienced. Independent.

Denver voters support an Auditor who is professional, qualified, and free of conflicts of interest.
I look forward to your continued support on April 4.

Qualified

As Denver’s elected Auditor since 2015, I have won more national auditing awards than any previous Auditor. I was also appointed to the U.S. Comptroller General’s Advisory Council on Government Auditing Standards because of my extensive insight on government auditing standards. In 2022, I received the David M. Walker Excellence in Government Accountability Award for demonstrating leadership to improve government performance and accountability. I served as the State Auditor for 11 years and I am a Certified Public Accountant.

Experienced

I have more than 40 years of auditing and accounting experience. Already, I have completed more than 1,000 audits as the Denver Auditor and State Auditor by prioritizing the concerns I hear from the community. These include audits of recycling services, sidewalk repair, mental health services in jails, affordable housing, homeless services, parks, citywide equity, short-term rentals, and Denver International Airport operations. Independent

The Auditor should start every project focused on the evidence and without an agenda. I can best serve all people and all diverse viewpoints in Denver by remaining objective and focusing on facts. Adherence to facts through a strong quality assurance process is how members of the public know they can trust the information I report, rather than wondering whether what they read is advancing an agenda. Part of that independence means not accepting campaign money from the city’s General Fund, so every contribution from you matters even more!
